In the Red List of the Vascular Plants of Luxemburg orchids are assigned to the following categories to evaluate their threat status (according to IUCN).
Least concern
This designates species that are not threatened in our country at the moment.
Near threatened
This designates species that are just not yet threatened in our country at the moment.
Vulnerable
This designates species that are threatened in our country at the moment.
Endangered
This designates species that are endangered in our country at the moment.
Critical
This designates species that are critically endangered in our country at the moment and risk to go extinct.
Regionally extinct
This designates species that are extinct in our country at the moment. They still exist in other countries.
