The flower characteristics of the broad-leaved marsh orchid, like those of other Dactylozhiza species, can be very variable. You can find the broad-leaved marsh orchid in nutrient-poor, wet to swampy meadows throughout the country. In the places where it still occurs, it often forms quite large populations.
