southern marsh orchid

LB: Vernoléissegt Fangerwuerzel FR: orchis négligé DE: Übersehene Fingerwurz

The southern marsh orchid has for a long time not been considered a separate species from the rather similar-looking early marsh orchid. It normally grows in damp to swampy meadows and in fens. In Luxembourg it also appears in former open-cast mining areas. The species has a strong Atlantic distribution and is at the eastern limit of its range in Luxembourg.
