DE: Rotes Waldvögelein
With their pointed tepals, the large flowers of the red helleborine resemble the silhouette of a flying bird, hence the German common name “Waldvöglein”. This typical orchid of calcareous, sparse deciduous forests can now only be found in the former open-cast mining areas in the south of Luxembourg.
