marsh helleborine

LB: Suppen-Harespelorchidee FR: épipactis des marais DE: Sumpfsitter, Sumpf-Stendelwurz

The flowers of the marsh helleborine contain a lot of nectar with which they attract a large number of pollinators. The seeds are large compared to other orchid species and disperse well because they float on water. The marsh helleborine grows in marshy meadows and in bogs. There have been very few recent sightings , mostly in the west of Luxembourg.
