lizard orchid

LB: Bock-Rimmerzong FR: orchis bouc DE: Bocks-Riemenzunge

With its extremely elongated strap-shaped flower lips and strong yet sweet goat smell, the lizard orchid is one of the most striking orchids in Luxembourg. Climate change over the last three decades with increasingly hot summers and wet, mild winters seems to favor the spread of this originally southwestern European species, in Luxembourg.
